BUT I have only done 5 races since I started my streak and 3 of them were PRs! (and the other 2 were course records) so I SERIOUSLY doubt that my running streak would be a reason why you are beating me in races!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And from personal experience, when I was taking days off, I was in much more pain during my rest days, and when I did run, it took a lot longer to get into my groove. And I treat those days as an active recovery.  And it has served a purpose, as with ME it is helping avoid injury.  I have not had the slightest pain what-so-ever since my streak has started.
